The Georgia Bulldogs are headed into the meat of their season with SEC play getting started this week against the Arkansas Razorbacks on the road in what should be a light test as far as this conference goes.

Nonetheless, while fans are focused fully on the outcome each Saturday for the next several months, the coaching staff is working behind closed doors to keep Georgia on top not only today, but for years down the line, Kirby Smart and the staff did not have the best run over the summer for the class of 2027, and though things are largely settled there, rumors about potential flip candidates before signing day have been flying.

The latest is a four-star safety committed to a Big 10 school who made the visit to Athens this past weekend for the historic white out game. As it turns out, the four-star safety is from within the state of Georgia and now Smart does not want to let him leave.

Corey Hadley Considering Flip from Nebraska to Georgia Bulldogs

According to some intel from UGA Sports On3, Sandy Creek safety Corey Hadley — who has been committed to the Nebraska Cornhuskers since April — may not be wavering as the pursuit from Georgia has ramped up.

"With this being a big decision, it can never be over until it’s really over," the Nebraska commit told On3. "You’ve got to think that’s always the hometown team. You’ve just got to keep your options open. With me being from Georgia, I have to be interested. And at the end of the day, I’ve got to be able to hear everybody out."

That certainly does not sound like a prospect who is set in his decision by any means, and if the Bulldogs were able to turn the tables here, Hadley could be a tremendous last minute add to the 2027 class before signing day.

What Kind of Skillset Hadley Would Bring to Georgia

Hadley is rated by 247's composite ratings just outside the top-10 players in the state of Georgia and top-20 safeties in the entire nation, placing him inside the top-150 players in the nation overall.

Standing at 6-foot-1 and weighing 180 pounds, Hadley has been a productive football player at a solid program and could become the latest Bulldogs defensive back to play early in his career.

Time will tell if Smart is able to pull off the flip, however the noise does seem real surrounding the possibility of doing just that.
