After the disaster of the Oregon football team losing to Oklahoma State on Saturday, 39-31, there’s no denying the level of panic from the fanbase after Week 2 of the season. After the upset of Oklahoma State over the Oregon football program, there was a players-led meeting that was held, as quarterback Dante Moore gave insight into the meeting.
While one might think a meeting like this would involve a bunch of players screaming at one another to get their heads in the game, it wasn’t like that one bit, as Moore described it as a way to “get on the same page with everybody,” according to ESPN.
“I feel like every team needs it, just to communicate, debrief, talk about the thoughts everybody’s having in their heads,” Moore said. “Wasn’t much screaming going on. It was just trying to get on the same page with everybody. I feel like it was very important because we needed it. And I feel that what we said in that meeting helped carry over into this week, and we’ve been attacking every day.”

“But I kind of feel like we’ve been looking in the mirror, find out who we truly are, and I feel as a team we’ve grown these past couple days ever since the Oklahoma State game,” Moore continued. “Been more vocal, been more connected.”
Oregon football’s Dan Lanning says there was a “lack of leadership”
There’s no denying that the Oregon football program holds itself in high regard, as they were ranked No. 6 before the game and even considered by some to be higher before the season. Ducks head coach Dan Lanning would speak on how there’s been a “lack of leadership,” with himself included.
“I’ll tell you, at this point, there’s been a lack of leadership – myself included. It starts with accountability, but it’s got to show up,” Lanning said. “Again, you can’t talk about it. You’ve got to see it. We haven’t seen it to this point.”
At any rate, the 1-1 Ducks look to bounce back this Friday when they host Portland State.
