FOX Sports analyst Joel Klatt released a new Top 10 ahead of Week 3 of the 2026 college football season. For the first time this year, the Utah Utes made the cut for the longtime commentator.
Utah took care of business with a 43-10 blowout win over Arkansas last Saturday at Rice-Eccles Stadium in Salt Lake City. While the Utes started the game down by a field goal in the first quarter, they rattled off 43 unanswered points with a Hogs' touchdown coming with 6:43 left. Devon Dampier and Wayshawn Parker combined for five scores.
That was enough to slide into Klatt's Top 10 ranking, which was right below USC at No. 9 and No. 8 Notre Dame. On Monday, Klatt applauded Utah for being able to handle Arkansas the way they did.
"A little bit of a change up here at ten. I've got Utah, let's go," Klatt said. "They're back. Here we go. Death, taxes and Utah football. Absolutely hammered Arkansas. At one point in the fourth quarter, the score was 43-3 in that game before Arkansas scored a late touchdown."

Utah finished with 441 yards of total offense. With Dampier leading the way, Parker had ten carries for 53 yards and two touchdowns. Utes tight end Noah Bennee had four catches for 113 yards and a score. His second straight game with a touchdown this year after only having one in the two prior seasons at Weber State.
The Utes' defense forced four punts, two turnovers on downs, 13 pass deflections and an interception against the Razorbacks offense. They also had four sacks and seven tackles for loss.
Utah moved up to No. 17 in this week's AP Top 25 poll. They'll wrap up non-conference play against Bronco Mendenhall and Utah State on Saturday. The first game between both schools in a decade.
This will also be Mendenhall's first game against Utah in a decade. The former BYU coach knows the Utes from the Holy War. He spent a decade in Provo and went 3-7 overall in the rivalry. This time around, he'll be facing a new head coach in Morgan Scalley, who is embracing his role for the Utes.
The Aggies are entering this game with Utah as an underdog. But Mendenhall's team will still come out ahead when they head back home. 'The U' will be paying $600,000 to host the Band of Brothers rivalry.
The Utes welcome Utah State into Salt Lake City on Saturday (3:30 p.m. ET, FOX).
