Ole Miss Rebels fans made their feelings about Lane Kiffin clear at the start of “College GameDay” in Oxford, Mississippi. The show arrived for a highly anticipated Week 3 matchup between Ole Miss and LSU, featuring Kiffin’s return to face his former program after leaving at the end of last season.
The animosity reached a peak as the broadcast kicked off, creating an explosive atmosphere. Social media documented the hostility, which intensified when Kiffin appeared on set. Fans chanted “F*** Lane Kiffin” during his interview on College GameDay ahead of the LSU versus Ole Miss game. Insider Chris Marler noted on X that while the initial chants began to slow down, he wondered if the fans would tire themselves out before kickoff. Moments later, however, the crowd erupted again, drowning out Kiffin with chants of “A**hole! A**hole! A**hole!” Marler described the chaotic scene as incredible.

Amid the intense drama, the broadcast also turned its attention to current leadership. The ESPN “College GameDay” crew recognized head coach Pete Golding for his performance in leading the football program following Kiffin’s sudden departure. Pat McAfee posted on X that Golding has seemingly handled the situation perfectly as the Rebels prepare for battle.
