Ole Miss football hype video will give you chills ahead of Lane Kiffin return

If Week 2’s college football battle between Texas and Ohio State didn’t give you enough pregame anticipation, Week 3 will. This time, the LSU Tigers will travel to face the Ole Miss Rebels in a battle between two top-10 teams.
Perhaps, though, the top-10 aspect takes a back seat to the biggest storyline of the game: the return of former Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin. After leaving the Rebels during their 2025 College Football Playoff run, Kiffin now must face his former team in what should be an emotional atmosphere at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium.

Ahead of this SEC showdown, Ole Miss released its official hype video for the matchup. Needless to say, the video’s narration and imagery were designed to give fans goosebumps.

Ole Miss legend Eli Manning narrated the hype video and kicked the anticipation for this game to another level. However, this battle along the Mississippi River hardly needs an introduction in 2026. Kiffin made sure of that.
Lane Kiffin returns to Oxford
Kiffin’s return to Oxford has been one of the most anticipated storylines of the 2026 college football season. The former Rebels head coach helped elevate Ole Miss into a consistent SEC contender before departing for LSU following the 2025 season.

Now, Kiffin will walk into Vaught-Hemingway Stadium as the opposing head coach. The circumstances make the matchup even more compelling, as LSU and Ole Miss enter the game ranked among the nation’s top teams.
The emotional element will be impossible to ignore. Kiffin spent six seasons in Oxford and helped establish Ole Miss as a program capable of competing near the top of the SEC. He will now try to lead LSU to a victory against the program he once led.
That alone would make this game appointment viewing. Add two top-10 teams, SEC implications, and Manning’s voice to the buildup… Ole Miss-LSU has quickly become one of the most anticipated games of Week 3.
