One of the most anticipated games of the 2026 college football season, a matchup that has been circled for the past nine months, will kick off Saturday night in one of the sport's most idyllic settings.
Lane Kiffin's long-awaited return to Vaught-Hemingway Stadium for the first time since leaving Mississippi to become the head coach at LSU last November will happen with a Week 3 matchup between Kiffin's No. 7 Tigers and the No. 9 Rebels, who he coached the previous six seasons.
Many of the questions have revolved around the reception Kiffin will receive, and just how crazy or even dangerous things might get, but beyond that is a more important question — who will actually win the game, one with significant SEC championship and College Football Playoff implications?
ESPN's "College GameDay," which was airing on site from The Grove at Ole Miss on Sept. 19, capped off its predictions segment with picks for the game between the Rebels and Tigers.
