MADISON – You have to go back four years to find the last time a Wisconsin football team scored this many points.

The Badgers’ 54-10 victory Eastern Michigan Sept. 19 at Camp Randall Stadium was their best scoring day since a 66-7 win over New Mexico State on Sept. 17, 2022.

UW scored on seven straight possessions, a run that featured five touchdowns and was fueled by three turnovers. Senior Colton Joseph delivered a career-high 362 yards passing and Tyrell Henry set a school record with 14 catches and totaled 160 receiving yards.

And to punctuate the evening, cornerback Eric Fletcher blocked a field goal attempt on the final play that was returned 55 yards for a touchdown by freshman Donovan Dunmore.

Did this performance answer the questions you had about the team as it shifts to Big Ten play? The conference season begins Sept. 26 at No. 15 Penn State.

Send us your comments and questions about the team and Journal Sentinel Badgers beat reporter Mark Stewart will answer a selection of them. The answers will be posted Tuesday morning.
