Lane Kiffin’s return to Oxford didn’t go as planned for LSU and the Ole Miss football team is rubbing their massive SEC win in their former coach’s face.
Trinidad Chambliss and Ole Miss secured a huge 32-24 win on Saturday night. However, the victory is even sweeter for the college football team after delivering a heartbreaking blow to Kiffin.
In fact, Ole Miss’ coordinated troll job of Kiffin and LSU turned into a masterpiece after the game. The Rebels blared popular Garth Brooks song “Callin’ Baton Rouge” as the Tigers walked off the field distraught.
The song is often associated with LSU sporting events, especially the football team prior to kickoff at home games. However, Saturday night’s brutal loss at the hands of the Rebels will sting more after this gesture.

LSU did make a valiant second half comeback attempt, but Chambliss and Ole Miss proved to be too much. The Heisman Trophy candidate played a near-perfect game against his former coach, while the Ole Miss defense shut the door on LSU in the final moments.
There’s a good chance that both teams can still reach the College Football Playoff in 2026. For now, Ole Miss gets the last laugh over Kiffin and their bitter rivals.
