The Swamp and its famed home field advantage seems to have oddmakers swayed that the Florida Gators will upset Ole Miss on Saturday.

The No. 4 Rebels (3-0, 1-0 SEC) and No. 21 Gators (3-0, 1-0 SEC) will enter Gainesville with perfect records and both with first year head coaches in Pete Golding and Jon Sumrall. Last season, Ole Miss defeated Sumrall’s Tulane team twice – once in the regular season and again in the College Football Playoffs.

It has been a long time since Ole Miss won in Gainesville. You have to go back nearly 20 years to the 2008 stunner that Houston Nutt, Dexter McCluster, Shay Hodge, Jevan Snead and the Landshark defense pulled on Tim Tebow and the eventual national champions. So it stands to reason Vegas is leaning toward Florida along with those betting on the game.

There’s also the enormous challenge for Pete Golding and his staff to get his team back up again after a very emotional win over LSU and its former head coach Lane Kiffin. A road loss to Florida would be a let down game for the Rebels that has happened before such as 2024 when the struggling Gators knocked off Ole Miss 24-17.

I would not be surprised to see this line move a few more times before kickoff at 2:30 p.m. CT on Saturday.
