A former Michigan State starting quarterback put up spectacular numbers in a notable blowout victory against a power four opponent this week.

Former Spartans quarterback and current Northwestern Wildcat Aidan Chiles was on fire on Saturday to lead his new team to a blowout victory over Colorado. Chiles accounted for five touchdowns in the 41-7 victory over the Buffalos.

Chiles completed 17 of 22 pass attempts for 241 passing yards and three touchdowns. He also picked up a pair of touchdowns on the ground in the win.

In his first season with the Wildcats, Chiles is now up to 514 passing yards and four touchdown passes, and 20 rushing yards for three more scores on the ground. More importantly, he has the Wildcats 2-0 on the season, with a road trip to No. 5 Indiana looming this upcoming week.

Michigan State will host Chiles and the Wildcats next month, which is looking more and more like a tougher game. Northwestern and Michigan State will battle it out on October 17.
