Jon Sumrall stunned about Florida being favored over Ole Miss

Florida and Ole Miss are set for a heavyweight fight on Saturday from “The Swamp” in Gainesville.

Both teams are 3-0 to open the season and are looking to continue their hot starts in this game. Ole Miss is ranked No. 4 in the latest AP poll, while Florida is No. 21.

Florida head coach Jon Sumrall spoke about the matchup against Ole Miss on Monday and said he was surprised to learn his team is favored over Ole Miss.

“There’s a lot of good drugs out there, huh?” Sumrall told reporters.

Sumrall is giving Ole Miss the respect it deserves as the No. 4 team in the country, even though he still believes in his team.

Florida is coming off a 44-39 win over Auburn on Saturday, which was the program’s SEC opener. Florida took a 20-17 lead into halftime and did enough in the second half to come away with the victory.

Meanwhile, Ole Miss survived against LSU, 32-24, getting revenge on former head coach Lane Kiffin after he left for LSU.

We’ll see if the oddsmakers are right about Florida being favored on Saturday when the game starts at 3:30 p.m. ET on ABC.
