It's going to be yet another beautiful day for football at Michigan State this weekend.

After a rainy day and night last week at Notre Dame, Michigan State is back to playing in pristine beautiful weather conditions this week against Nebraska. The forecast is shaping up to be a perfect early autumn day at Michigan State.

As for the football, Michigan State is looking to get back on track after a tough loss at Notre Dame last week. That loss dropped the Spartans to 2-1 on the season. Nebraska, on the other hand, is a perfect 3-0 on the season but this will mark their first game of the year against a power four team.

Before we lace it up for opening kickoff on Saturday afternoon (kickoff officially at 5 p.m. ET), let's take a look at the forecast for Saturday.

  • Temperatures will drop as we hit the evening, with a low of 43 at night
  • Clear skies projected throughout this game, with no anticipated participation in the area
  • Winds are considered to be light and variable throughout the day and into the evening

Impact on Game

The weather forecast is shaping up to be a beautiful early fall day on the banks of the Red Cedar River in East Lansing. With this being an unusual kickoff time of 5 p.m. ET, we will see the temperatures begin to drop throughout the game, but that quite frankly won't impact the players as much as it does the fans in attendance. So the impact from the weather for this one is very minimal, with the lone possibility being some fans leaving the game early as it gets cooler and if the game isn't close one way or the other.
