The 5 College Football Games to Watch in Week 4

Clemson at Cal
10:30 p.m., ESPN (Friday)

This may not be worth the late-night viewing, but this game could answer two interesting questions — is Dabo Swinney’s time at Clemson coming to a close? Also, can Cal quarterback Jaron-Keawe Sagapolutele get back on track after a phenomenal freshman season?
Prediction: Clemson-23, Cal-20

Noon, ABC

Texas may sit atop the polls, but this game is nothing close to a guarantee. The Longhorns still have plenty of questions to answer despite an impressive victory over Ohio State in week two. The run game has been struggling, Arch Manning runs hot and cold, and the Longhorns need to prove they can play better on the road. This won’t be any road game either, as the Vols fans will create an incredible atmosphere in hopes of toppling #1. Tennessee is off to a hot start, but this will be their first true test.
Prediction: Tennessee-28, Texas-27

(#4)Ole Miss at (#21)Florida
3:30 p.m., ABC

Both teams are coming off emotional victories and are looking to prove themselves in the SEC race. The Gators seem to have taken a huge step forward under first year head coach Jon Sumrall. They will have their hands full against Heisman frontrunner Trinidad Chambliss, who has been nearly unstoppable since his magical playoff run. However, the Gators can certainly make things interesting in The Swamp as Ole Miss will need to come back to Earth after one of the biggest wins in program history, especially is star running back Kewan Lacy is unavailable.
Prediction: Ole Miss-31, Florida-27

7:30 p.m., ABC

This game is intriguing for the exact opposite reason of Ole Miss-Florida. One of these teams will suffer its second consecutive loss before the end of September – likely requiring an undefeated remainder of the season to keep playoff hopes alive. While it may be fun to watch a massive freakout coming out of Baton Rouge, the Aggies have not looked like they belong in the rankings after a slow start against Arizona State before being manhandled by Kentucky last week.
Prediction: LSU-31, Texas A&M-23

(#19)Missouri at (#24)Mississippi State
7:45 p.m., SECN

You may want to switch over to this one after the Penn State-Wisconsin game, especially if you haven’t had the chance to watch Mississippi State quarterback Kamario Taylor. He’s become one of the breakout stars of 2026, with a powerful arm and explosive running style to go along with his 6-4, 230 lb. frame. He’s already led the Bulldogs back into the rankings with a 3-0 start, and now looks to prove he can take them much further. Missouri is also off to a strong start that includes an easy win over rival Kansas, and is a well-coached team that does not go down easily.
Prediction: Mississippi State-35, Missouri-31
