STARKVILLE — Ole Miss football is wearing its special-edition Realtree helmets for the second time this season.
The No. 6 Rebels (10-1, 6-1 SEC) are playing in the Egg Bowl at Mississippi State (5-6, 1-6) on Nov. 28.
Ole Miss is wearing a camo-pattered helmet with white uniforms and white pants. They are the same helmets the Rebels wore at home on Nov. 1 against South Carolina. Although it is the third time Ole Miss has collaborated with Realtree, an outdoor sporting brand, for camouflaged helmets, the white pattern is new for 2025.
The first helmet was a powder blue one in 2023, and then a navy blue edition was worn in 2024. Ole Miss is 3-0 in games wearing Realtree helmets.
The Rebels would benefit heavily from a fourth win in the helmets. Ole Miss can essentially clinch a place in the College Football Playoff with a win. The Rebels are No. 7 in the latest CFP rankings.
The Egg Bowl is partly overshadowed by coach Lane Kiffin’s looming decision. Both Florida and LSU have been reported as schools attempting to hire Kiffin away from Ole Miss. A decision about his future will be announced nov. 29, according to Ole Miss athletic director Keith Carter.
