Jared Curtis will not play against the team he was originally committed to on Saturday after all.
According to ESPN's Pete Thamel, Curtis has been ruled out with an injury for Vanderbilt's road matchup against No. 2 Georgia. He was listed as a game-time decision on the Commodores' SEC player availability report that was posted 90 minutes before kickoff on Saturday.
Vanderbilt and Georgia are set for a 12:45 p.m. ET kickoff inside Sanford Stadium in Athens, Georgia on Saturday.

Curtis was verbally committed to Georgia and coach Kirby Smart as a five-star prospect and one of the top overall players in the 2026 recruiting class. Then, just before National Signing Day this past December, Curtis flipped his verbal commitment to Vanderbilt and signed as the highest-rated recruit in program history, giving the Commodores a rare win in what has long been a Georgia-dominated series.
With Curtis sidelined against the Bulldogs, the Commodores will look to Blaze Berlowitz, who started the season under center for Clark Lea's squad before Curtis was named the team's starting quarterback on Sept. 15.

Who is Vanderbilt backup quarterback? Who will start at QB for Vanderbilt vs Georgia?
Blaze Berlowitz will start at quarterback for Vanderbilt against Georgia.
Vanderbilt started Berlowitz in its first two wins against Austin Peay and Delaware this season, but he largely struggled before being replaced by Curtis in the 35-26 win against the Blue Hens in Week 2. As noted by the Nashville Tennessean, part of the USA TODAY Network, Berlowitz briefly explored a move to wide receiver, but has practiced more at quarterback within the past week due to the injury to Curtis.
