Star quarterback Kamario Taylor exited Mississippi State's game against Alabama on Saturday, Oct. 3, with an apparent injury. He was shown entering the locker room in the fourth quarter and was replaced by backup Parker Puckett.
It's unclear what Taylor's injury is. The first-year starter faced his first in-game adversity this season against the Crimson Tide, committing three turnovers in the game. He still passed for 258 yards with three touchdowns in the game before exiting the game.
Taylor entered the game with an SEC-leading 15 total touchdowns this season and led the Bulldogs to their first win over a ranked team since 2014 when they defeated Missouri at home in Week 4. The 6-foot-4 quarterback also led Mississippi State to a 2-0 start in SEC play for the first time since 2014, as well.
Mississippi State is certainly hoping the Heisman Trophy hopeful's injury isn't severe. Working in its favor is a bye week on Oct. 10 until it plays LSU Oct. 17.
