Louisville QB Lincoln Kienholz will play in must-win game against Florida State

The Louisville football program got some excellent news on quarterback Lincoln Kienholz on Thursday, Oct. 8.

According to On3’s Pete Nakos, Kienholz will play in Friday’s game against Florida State. He was a game-time decision against NC State last Saturday and played. He is good to go for this game.

Louisville lost 31-28 to NC State last Saturday, even though Kienholz finished with 254 passing yards and two touchdowns.

Nakos also reports that defensive back Koen Entringer is good to go. He hasn’t played since the Sept. 19 win over SMU. He has 18 total tackles and one pass defended this year.

Why Louisville has to win this game

Louisville is 2-3 (1-2 ACC), so another loss would put its season even more off the rails. The Cardinals have to win this game if it has any hope of staying in the ACC title race.

They’ll face a Florida State team (3-2, 1-1) that got head coach Mike Norvell a smidge off the hot seat with last Saturday’s 38-7 win over Virginia.

Kickoff is at 7 p.m. ET Friday on ESPN.
