On Saturday evening, the Alabama football program will hit the field for a huge home test against the Georgia Bulldogs. Earlier in the day, Tuscaloosa hosted ESPN’s “College Gameday,” which was held indoors due to inclement weather in the area.

Toward the end of the show, the crew made their picks for the big game, and Pat McAfee wound up rolling with the Bulldogs, much to the chagrin of legendary Alabama head coach Nick Saban and former Crimson Tide quarterback Bryce Young, who was the guest picker for the day.

Alabama has had plenty of success against the Bulldogs over the years, dating back to Saban’s run as the team’s head coach. Although Georgia got the better of the Crimson Tide the last time the two teams met in the SEC Championship Game back in December, Kalen DeBoer still has a winning record against Kirby Smart during his tenure in Tuscaloosa.

Saturday’s matchup will be a fascinating one, considering that neither the Crimson Tide nor the Bulldogs have faced a ton of adversity so far this year. While Alabama did have a couple of relatively competitive games against Kentucky and Florida State, they were able to pull away late in those contests en route to blowout victories.

Meanwhile, Georgia has routed every team they’ve played so far this year, although they have not exactly faced off against a murderer’s row of opponents in 2026.

In any case, kickoff between Alabama and Georgia is slated for 7:30 pm ET from Tuscaloosa, with the game carried by ABC.
