Notre Dame is travelling out west this week to take on the No. 8 ranked BYU Cougars in a prime time matchup that has ESPN’s College Gameday on site. It’s a massive game for both schools, but probably not “do or die” when it comes to the college football playoff.

The Irish have a 16 game double-digit winning streak and are favored by 10.5 points. Notre Dame is the clear favorite to win this game, but that doesn’t mean iyt’s going to be easy — or even a sure thing. Provo is a tough place to play, and salty terams are salty teams (if you know what I mean).

What a radical thought in this age of CFB. Using phrases like 'Want to play big games' and 'learning experience'. Hats off to BYU for scheduling Notre Dame without any hesitation.
