The Ducks are coming! The Ducks are coming! To Champaign's Gies Memorial Stadium.
But first, Oregon plays a critical game Saturday night against Nebraska at Autzen Stadium.
For CWFS' weekly prediction contest, I've asked you for a score. Now, it's my turn: Oregon 28, Nebraska 20.
Nebraska got off to a 5-0 start against weak competition, then played well in a close loss to Indiana. No shame there. But in Matt Rhule's time in Lincoln, the program has repeatedly teased its loyal fans before going on a slide.
This game is complicated for Nebraska because of who might be starting quarterback for Oregon. With Dante Moore sidelined by a concussion, Dan Lanning is considering multiple options, including former Nebraska quarterback Dylan Raiola. He started against UCLA last week, struggled and was pulled.
But Lanning has to know how fired up Raiola will be to play against his former teammates. My hunch is Raiola gets the nod and performs well, throwing for more than 200 yards and three scores.
Am I wrong? Here's your chance come up with your own pick.
Send an email to . Include your name, where you live and predicted score for both teams. Tell me anything else on your mind too.
If anyone nails the score on the button, they will receive a $50 gift card t Papa Del's. The game is late so you have until 10 p.m. Saturday to turn it in.
I will announce the winner in this space early next week. The contest will go back to predicting the Illinois games on Oct. 24 and beyond.
Good luck to everyone and enjoy college football this weekend.
