The “other” battle of teams with unbeaten Big Ten records takes place on Saturday at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California, where the No. 12 UCLA Bruins (5-0) host the Wisconsin Badgers (4-1) with Ty Dieffenbach set to make his first start at quarterback for UCLA.

UCLA held off a late rally to win at then-No. 13 Oregon 17-15 last week. Wayne Knight scored two touchdowns, one on a 35-yard run in the second quarter that put the Bruins up 10-6 and later on a nine-yard pass from Dieffenbach early in the fourth quarter that made it a 17-6 game. UCLA stopped a potential tying two-point attempt with 2:16 remaining. Knight ran for 103 yards on 22 carries and Dieffenbach was 3-of-6 for 43 yards after taking over from injured Nico Iamaleava, who is out for the season with a torn ACL.
Wisconsin returns to action off a bye week after blasting visiting Michigan State 31-3 on Oct. 3. Colton Joseph threw for three touchdowns and ran for another in the rout, finishing 9-of-20 for 145 yards through the air while picking up 141 yards on 13 carries as well. The Badgers improved to 2-0 in the Big Ten with their fourth straight win.
The Badgers enter with a three-game winning streak over the Bruins, most recently winning a 21-20 decision in the 2000 Sun Bowl. UCLA leads the all-time series 7-4 and the teams meet as conference rivals for the first time.
Knight comes in with 548 yards and 10 touchdowns on the ground as UCLA averages 253.2 rushing yards per game. Dieffenbach makes his first start since transferring from Cal Poly and Semaj Morgan leads the pass catchers with 19 receptions, 229 yards and two scores. Joseph enters with 1,132 yards and 10 TD passes with five interceptions while running for 262 yards and three touchdowns. Tyrell Henry has 26 catches for 339 yards.
