ESPN ‘College GameDay’ location announced for Week 8 of 2026 season

ESPN’s College GameDay is heading to a cool location for Week 8 of the 2026 college football season.

College GameDay announced on X that it is headed to Salt Lake City for next Saturday’s matchup between Utah and Houston. Utah is one of six undefeated FBS teams left after beating Colorado 27-24 on Saturday night.

College GameDay was at BYU for this past Saturday’s BYU-Notre Dame game, which didn’t disappoint. It came down to the final play, and BYU won 28-24.

How have Utah and Houston played this year?

Utah is 6-0 to start the season and is slated to move up in the AP poll once it comes out Sunday afternoon, after so many upsets on Saturday.

The Utes have beaten everyone in their path and have been fantastic in all three phases, but will face their biggest test yet next Saturday. The Cougars are coming off a 35-32 win over the Oklahoma State Cowboys on Saturday and are 6-1 through their first seven games.

Like the Utes, the Cougars are also slated to move up in the new AP poll.

Kickoff for next Saturday’s game will be at 10:15 p.m. ET on ESPN.
