FSU football 2026 recruiting class, can these future Seminoles help?

Days after Florida State football’s season ended with a 40-21 loss to Florida, attention turned to the future for the Seminoles program with the early national signing period set to start on Wednesday, Dec. 3.

FSU’s class currently has 27 commitments and ranks 13th in the 247Sports class recruiting rankings.

With head coach Mike Norvell set to lead the Seminoles program into 2026, despite a 5-7 season, his recruiting class is led by 4-star defensive back Chauncey Kennon and 4-star linebacker Izayia Williams.

High school recruitment has been heavily scrutinized under Norvell, who has not signed a top-10 recruiting class in his tenure. If the class holds, the 13th-ranked 2026 class would be Norvell’s second-best prep haul as FSU’s head coach.

Chauncey Kennon, Booker

The Seminoles lost the top player in the 2026 class, 4-star defensive back commit Jay Timmons, who spurned FSU for Ohio State in November.

Norvell’s class features a pair of local commits, with the Gadsden County duo of linebacker Daylen Green and offensive lineman Jakobe Green staying close to home to join the Seminoles.

While Norvell remains the head coach going into the 2026 season, USA Today network reporters have found that some recruits have asked for special clauses in their NIL contracts that would release them from their deal should FSU’s head coach be fired.

Here is the full FSU football 2026 recruiting class ahead of signing day.
