Stokes threw for 3,297 yards, 30 touchdowns and 13 interceptions and ran for 367 yards and 10 touchdowns while leading UWF to a 10-2 record and an appearance in the NCAA Division II Super Region 2 semifinals. He was named Gulf South Conference Offensive Player of the Year and is a nominee for the Harlon Hill Trophy, which goes to the NCAA Division II Player of the Year.
Stokes suffered an apparent head injury early in the fourth quarter of the Argos 24-17 season-ending loss to Newberry on Nov. 29 and didn't return.
He also appeared in eight games in 2024, throwing for 1,540 yards, 14 touchdowns and eight interceptions while running for 163 yards and three touchdowns.
Stokes graduated from Nease High School in 2023, where he was a three-star recruit and the No. 33 quarterback in the class of 2023, according to the 247 Sports Composite. He verbally committed to Florida in June 2022 before the Gators pulled his offer in November 2022 after a video appeared online of him using a racial slur while singing along to a rap song.
