Michigan State football has officially signed one of its highest-rated commits in the 2026 class.
Joey Caudill of Mansfield, Ohio has officially signed to become a Michigan State Spartan. The highly-coveted tight end prospect made it official on Wednesday morning as part of the early signing period — which began on Wednesday.
Caudill is a four-star tight end prospect, with a recruiting rating of 89.28 in 247Sports' composite system. He ranks as the No. 23 tight end and No. 21 overall player from Ohio in the 2026 class. He is also ranked as the No. 432 overall prospect in the class.
Caudill has been verbally committed to Michigan State since January, but the Spartans had to fight off plenty of other suitors. He held notable offers from Kentucky, Pittsburgh, Louisville, Pitt, Purdue, West Virginia and Maryland.
