UNC announces kickoff time for next ACC football game

After a few weeks away from Kenan Stadium, the North Carolina Tar Heelsreturn home on October 3 for their next football matchup.

At 12 p.m., UNC will host Notre Dame, a team many expect to hoist the National Championship trophy in January next year. North Carolina already upset TCU in Week Zero, so the possibility of another is there for Saturday, but the uphill climb will be steep.

Looking ahead, the Tar Heels now also know the kickoff time for their next ACC game. On Saturday, Oct. 10 in Pittsburgh, UNC and the Panthers will start at 12 p.m.

This marks North Carolina's fifth-straight noon game to start 2026, which is largely determined by television broadcasts. However, if the Tar Heels beat Clemson last weekend, there's a good chance for later kickoffs.

UNC's defense held the Tigers to six first-half points in Death Valley, but the boys in Orange scored 22 second-half points. North Carolina's offense did a complete 180, struggling to consistently move the football and reminiscent of past teams.

Pitt (4-0) is turning heads early with its high-scoring offense, which totaled 59 points in two separate games. The Panthers' defense is stout, allowing just 34 points through three games.

If there's one thing the Tar Heels have going for them heading into the Pitt game, they have a 12-6 advantage in the all-time series. UNC's last trip up to Steel City was a successful one, thanks to a 41-24 blowout victory.

North Carolina has another opponent to focus on this coming weekend. Will the Tar Heels deliver another college football upset heading into its trip up north?
