The Georgia Bulldogs and Alabama Crimson Tide will meet for the second time of the season on Saturday, Dec. 6 at 4 p.m. ET (televised on ABC) in the 2025 SEC championship. Alabama will be the home team for the SEC championship and will wear white pants along with crimson jerseys. Alabama will also wear their classic crimson helmet.
Georgia will be the road team despite having a shorter travel distance to Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia. The Bulldogs will wear white jerseys with silver britches. Georgia will wear the recognizable red “G” helmet against Alabama.
Georgia (11-1, 7-1 SEC) is 2 1/2-point favorites over Alabama (10-2, 7-1 SEC) despite Georgia’s recent struggles against Alabama. The Bulldogs have won just one of their last 11 meetings with the Crimson Tide, who beat Georgia 24-21 back in September.
“Good players win football games,” Georgia coach Kirby Smart said ahead of the SEC championship. “Not turning the ball over wins football games. Being explosive wins football games and that will not change in this game. The turnover margin of the last game was a factor. Explosive plays of the last game were a factor. They’ll be factors in this one.”
A preview of the jersey matchup
Georgia and Alabama both have simple, but very well thought-out jerseys. Georgia and Alabama will have the same jersey combinations as the 2023 and 2021 SEC championships, which Alabama won both times.
