Vanderbilt football will play Iowa in the ReliaQuest Bowl on Dec. 31 in Tampa, Florida, the program announced Dec. 7.

The Commodores (10-2) will be in their second straight bowl game. They came out victorious in the Birmingham Bowl in 2024.

Vanderbilt was left out of the College Football Playoff despite its strong record and wins over Tennessee and Missouri. The Commodores came in at No. 14 in the final CFP poll and No. 12 in the US LBM Coaches Poll.

Diego Pavia, the Vanderbilt quarterback who was named MVP of the Birmingham Bowl, is a Heisman candidate.

The Hawkeyes (8-4) played close games against Indiana, Oregon and USC but lost all three.
