Vanderbilt football QB Diego Pavia leads All-SEC conference teams

With bowl game and College Football Playoff assignments all set and divvied out, it's reached postseason award announcement season in college football.
That continued in the SEC on Tuesday, Dec. 9 when the conference announced who made the All-SEC postseason teams, as voted on by each of the conference's 16 head coaches.
Leading the way on the All-SEC first team was Vanderbilt quarterback Diego Pavia, who was named the first Commodore player to be invited to the Heisman Trophy ceremony in New York as one of the four finalists for college football's most prestigious award. Pavia threw a career-high 3,192 yards and 27 touchdowns this season for Vanderbilt, while posting the best completion percentage in the SEC at 71.2%.
Missouri led the way with the most All-SEC first team selections with running back Ahmad Hardy, offensive lineman Keagen Trost, defensive lineman Zion Young and linebacker Josiah Trotter. Georgia led the way with the most overall All-SEC team selections at 11, led by star linebacker CJ Allen, who finished with conference-leading 85 total tackles, 3.5 sacks and two forced fumbles this season on top of four broken-up passes.
Alabama's Ty Simpson and Ole Miss' Trinidad Chambliss were named to the All-SEC second team at the quarterback position, while Georgia's Gunner Stockton was given All-SEC third team honors.
