LAWRENCE — Although the Division I transfer portal window won’t open until January, that doesn’t mean there isn’t news to know around the Kansas football program as the month of December unfolds.

The Jayhawks already have one public addition, as of the evening of Dec. 9, in Grand Valley State transfer Jibriel Conde. Conde, who will be making the jump up from Division II, is a 247Sports-rated three-star defensive lineman in the portal and is listed by KU as a defensive tackle. His signing at Kansas was officially announced on Dec. 4.

The Jayhawks also have seen some players reveal their intentions to transfer away from the program. That includes redshirt sophomore tight end Jaden Hamm, redshirt sophomore wide receiver Bryce Cohoon and redshirt sophomore running back Johnny Thompson Jr. No one in that group was a featured member of the roster this past season, but at the least they were names to know for potential depth next year.

Follow along for updates as the offseason continues, after KU finished 5-7 during the 2025 season.
