Full Missouri football 2026 schedule is set. Here are dates, opponents

Welcome to the nine-game SEC era.

Missouri football learned the dates of each of its 2026 conference matchups, as the SEC announced its full slate of games Thursday during a live, made-for-television schedule reveal.

Mizzou already knew its 2026 opponents, as the conference announced the Tigers‘ permanent and full slate of opponents for 2026-29. SEC teams will play nine games, one more than in previous years, beginning next season.

Coming to Faurot Field in Columbia in 2026: Florida (Oct. 3); Texas A&M (Oct. 10); Texas (Nov. 7); Kentucky (Nov. 21) and Oklahoma (Nov. 28).

Missouri will play Mississippi State (Sept. 26), Ole Miss (Oct. 17), Arkansas (Oct. 31) and Georgia (Nov. 14) on the road in SEC play in 2026.

The significant change on the schedule is on the final weekend. Mizzou will no longer face the Razorbacks on the weekend after Thanksgiving, which has been a permanent fixture on the schedule since the Battle Line Rivalry was implemented.

MU’s ‘permanent’ rivals for the next four seasons are Oklahoma, Arkansas and Texas A&M, meaning the Tigers will play all three of those teams every year through at least 2029.

Four SEC teams on Mizzou’s 2026 schedule currently have new head coaches. Florida hired Tulane HC Jon Sumrall, Kentucky hired Oregon OC Will Stein, Arkansas hired Memphis HC Ryan Silverfield, and Ole Miss promoted DC Pete Golding.

The Tigers are set to play two home games and one road contest in their nonconference schedule next season.

The headliner in that slate is the return leg in the Border War series, with Mizzou set for a Sept. 12 visit to Lawrence, Kansas. It will be the Tigers’ first game at Kansas’ home since 2005.

Elsewhere on the non-con slate, Mizzou will open its 2026 season against Arkansas-Pine Bluff on Saturday, Sept. 5, although, as has been the recent tradition, that game may be moved to Thursday two days earlier. Mizzou is also set to play Troy on Nov. 21.

The Tigers’ idle date in 2026 will be Oct. 24.
