LSU football head coach Lane Kiffin will have the task of finding his team's next quarterback for 2026. Another name to throw in the mix comes from the Big Ten.

Dylan Raiola is reportedly planning to enter the transfer portal, according to multiple reports. He spent two years at Nebraska as the starter but was out for much of the 2025 season. On November 1 against USC, he suffered a broken right fibula that left him sidelined. Now, the former five-star prospect is on the hunt for his next team.

In two seasons as a starter, Raiola revived a dormant program and gave the Cornhuskers new life. He led them to a bowl game last year, their first since 2016. He led all FBS true freshmen and broke Nebraska's freshman record with 2,816 passing yards. The sophomore has a career 69% completion percentage with 31 touchdowns over 22 starts.

Could Raiola be the next passer in Baton Rouge? LSU needs to name a successor to Garrett Nussmeier, who started the previous two seasons. Michael Van Buren took over midway through the season with Nussmeier benched and the Tigers' College Football Playoff hopes dashed.

Raiola displays agility in the pocket and isn't afraid to take off. He made the most of his resources in Lincoln and connected with receivers to give Nebraska a chance in most games. He has two seasons of eligibility left and is a name to watch as Kiffin assembles his roster.
