Nebraska football appears to be in a promising spot for a top defensive line target. The Huskers are in the mix for class of 2026 four-star defensive lineman Dylan Berymon.

Berymon was initially committed to the Texas Longhorns, but backed off his pledge. He is the 21 overall player nationally, the 26th overall defensive lineman in the 2026 class, and the eighth overall player in his class from the state of Louisiana per the Rivals Industry Rankings.

He indicated to Rivals’ Sam Spiegelman (subscription needed) that the Huskers have been staying in communication with him. The program has called frequently and has stayed in touch with him and his family.

He played in 15 games last season, recording 49 tackles and four sacks on the year, according to statistics from Maxpreps.com.

The Huskers could use depth on the defensive line. They were able to get some for the future by landing a commitment from 2027 defensive lineman Jayden Travers last week. The program needs defensive linemen, and it appears that they are making a strong push.
