The Florida Gators are hiring another former Georgia Bulldog on their staff. Former Georgia Bulldogs tight end Ryland Goede will serve as a quality control staffer on new Florida coach Jon Sumrall’s staff, according to Gators Online of On3.
Goede was a tight end for the Georgia Bulldogs from 2019-22. Despite playing for two of Georgia’s national championship squads, Goede never recorded a stat for the Georgia Bulldogs. He also played baseball, although he never got to take a single at bat due to his commitment to the football team.
He still earned a degree with Georgia before transferring to theMississippi State Bulldogs, where he had one reception for 18 yards against the Ole Miss Rebels. In his final year of eligibility, he transferred to the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, where he had six receptions for 70 yards and a touchdown.
After he hung up the cleats, he got into coaching, helping with the running backs at Georgia Tech in 2025. He will lead a similar role in 2026, under offensive coordinator Buster Faulkner, who coached him in Georgia (2020-22) and coached alongside him with Georgia Tech (2025). Faulkner is now Florida’s offensive coordinator.
