Ohio State and Texas will play for a third college football season in a row on Saturday.
The two teams met in the College Football Playoff semifinals in 2024, with the Buckeyes winning 28-14. They met again last season in Columbus, and the Buckeyes won a low-scoring affair, 14-7.

The 2026 matchup takes place in Austin, Texas, and the Longhorns are fired up. Wide receiver Cam Coleman recently told reporters that “we’re coming,” and quarterback Arch Manning loves that he can play in these massive games.
“This is why you come to a school like Texas, playing these big-time games,” Manning said.

Manning played the Buckeyes last year and didn’t look super comfortable, finishing with only 170 yards through the air, one touchdown, and one interception. Granted, it was Manning’s first start of the season, but the Buckeyes still didn’t give him anything.
Redemption time?
Manning will be highly motivated to show he’s grown a lot since then and to potentially give the Longhorns a big win over one of the best teams in the country.
Who knows, we might get round four between these two teams in the College Football Playoff if both teams make it and the bracket lines up.
Kickoff for this matchup will be at 7:30 p.m. ET on ABC. Chris Fowler and Kirk Herbstreit will have the call.
