The James Madison Dukes travel to Eugene, Oregon to play the Oregon Ducks Saturday, Dec. 20 in the first round of the 2025-26 College Football Playoff.
James Madison (12-1), the No. 12 seed, earned a spot in the playoffs by beating Troy for the Sun Belt Championship Dec. 5. JMU’s lone loss came on Sept 5, falling to Louisville 28-14.
Oregon (11-1) didn’t play in the Big Ten Conference championship. The No. 5 Ducks only loss on the year came to Indiana 30-20 on Oct. 11.
Quarterback Alonza Barnett III leads JMU with 2,533 passing yards (193-for-322) for 21 touchdowns and eight interceptions. Wayne Knight ran for 1,263 yards and nine touchdowns.
Oregon is led by quarterback Dante Moore with 2,733 yards passing (227-for-313) for 24 touchdowns and six interceptions. Noah Whittington has rushed for 774 yards.
