Boom! The Ohio State football team got some great news today as it added to its 2027 recruiting class. Four-star linebacker Quinton Cypher has picked the Buckeyes.

Hailing from Raleigh, North Carolina, Cypher is rated as the No. 11 linebacker in the class according to 247Sports composite rankings. OSU is getting a good one, as the young man has a nose for the ball. A starter at the varsity level, Cypher has put up some eye-popping numbers. As a freshman at Millbrook High School, he tallied 151 total tackles. He upped that number to 175 tackles in his sophomore campaign. In his junior year, he saw his total tackles go up once again to 181. In just three years of high school ball, he's recorded 21.5 sacks, nine interceptions, five forced fumbles, and five fumble recoveries. Those are the kinds of stats legends are made of.

Ohio State was given several crystal ball predictions earlier in the week, which turned out to be accurate. Cypher chose the Buckeyes over Alabama, Georgia, and Miami.

Cypher's verbal pledge gives Ohio State eight commits in the 2027 class so far, and is a class that is ranked No. 4 overall thus far.
