Georgia football at Mississippi State: TV channel, commentators

The Georgia Bulldogs play the Mississippi State Bulldogs in Georgia‘s third SEC road game of the season. Georgia has trailed by at least 10 points in their previous two SEC road games (Tennessee and Auburn). UGA overcame a slow start and ended up winning both contests.

Georgia will look to start faster this time against Mississippi State, who is coming off their first SEC win since 2023. Make no mistake about it, Georgia is likely in for another close game after beating Florida 24-20. Georgia fans should get their heart medicine ready again because Georgia and Mississippi State tend to play in a lot of tight contests. Both Georgia (7-1, 5-1 SEC) and Mississippi State (5-4, 1-4 SEC) have played in a lot of one-score games with Georgia going 3-1 and Mississippi State going 2-3.

“They’ve got no quit in them, these guys have competed,” Georgia coach Kirby Smart said on Mississippi State. “They have been in every game they’ve played. They have upgraded the talent level since he’s (Mississippi State coach Jeff Lebby) been there.”

Mississippi State surprised Georgia a bit last season in a competitive battle of the Bulldogs that saw Georgia win 41-31 thanks to a huge passing day. The 2025 version of Georgia-Mississippi State is expected to feature a fair amount of scoring again.

The Georgia-Mississippi State game will be televised on ESPN at kicks off at noon ET on Saturday, Nov. 8. ESPN’s Dave Pasch (play-by-play), Dusty Dvoracek (analyst) and Taylor McGregor (sideline reporter) will call the game.
