The LSU Tigers and new head coach Lane Kiffin have finally filled out the coaching staff and went on a spree announcing the new additions on Monday afternoon.
Here are all 11 coaches that were introduced and announced on the team's social media:
Offensive Coordinator: Charlie Weis Jr.
One of the most important and first coaches that Kiffin brought with him to Baton Rouge. Weis is crucial to the operation as a play caller. They've built a number of incredible offenses together.
Running Backs/Associate Head Coach: Kevin Smith
After appearing in a team video on Sunday, it became clear that the Tigers would actually be adding Smith to their staff, replacing Frank Wilson. He has big shoes to fill in terms of recruiting, but Smith has done a great job at developing talent.
Wide Receivers/Passing Game Coordinator: George McDonald
McDonald has been coaching since 2001. He has had many stops in his career, including the NFL, Miami, Ole Miss and more. Eric Decker, Greg Jennings and Tre Harris are just some of the names that he coached that fans might remember.
Inside Wide Receivers: Sawyer Jordan
Jordan is a young, up-and-coming coach that served in the same role for the Rebels this season.
Quarterbacks: Dane Stevens
Stevens has had a big role in the breakouts of Jaxson Dart and Trinidad Chambliss. There is little doubt that LSU will have solid quarterback play next season, given the recent track record of Stevens and Kiffin.
Tight Ends/Co-Offensive Coordinator: Joe Cox
Cox has had this same role for Ole Miss over the last two seasons. He was the tight ends coach for the Alabama Crimson Tide for the two years before that. Dae'Quan Wright, Caden Prieskorn, Amari Niblack and Cameron Latu have been some solid tight ends he has worked with recently.
Offensive Line: Eric Wolford
Brad Davis was a fantastic recruiter for the Tigers, but the play across the line has been lacking recently, so a change was necessary. Wolford comes over from the Kentucky Wildcats for the past two years and the Crimson Tide before that.
Defensive Line: Sterling Lucas
Speaking of fantastic recruiters, Lucas has been one of the best. He was responsible for bringing five-star talents Dylan Stewart and Nyck Harbor to the South Carolina Gamecocks, along with some talented four-stars. This is an upgrade for LSU over Kyle Williams, who was just giving coaching a shot last season.
Linebackers/Co-Defensive Coordinator: Chris Kiffin
Kiffin's brother actually hasn't coached with him as much as one might believe, but he has been an analyst for the Rebels for the last two years. He was the Houston Texans linebackers coach back in 2023. He's coached on a few different college and NFL defenses over the past 20 years.
Assistant Defensive Line and Pass Rush Specialist: Lou Spanos
Spanos started coaching in 1995 with the Pittsburgh Steelers and was there until 2009. He's had a couple other NFL stops and has been with Ole Miss since 2023. He has two Super Bowl rings.
Special Teams Coordinator: Joe Houston
Houston has been the special teams coordinator for the Florida Gators over the last two seasons and has led some solid squads, despite the overall lack of success for the team.
