Dante Moore and the No. 5 seed Oregon Ducks made light work of the No. 12 seed James Madison Dukes in the first round of the 2025 College Football Playoff with a 51-34 win. Now, Oregon will prepare for a quarterfinal matchup against the No. 4 seed Texas Tech Red Raiders in the Capital One Orange Bowl on New Year’s Day.
Moore turned in a solid performance against James Madison, completing 19 of 27 passes for 313 yards, four touchdowns and two interceptions. The sophomore quarterback from Detroit has impressed in his first season as the Ducks’ full-time starter, completing 246 of 340 passes for 3,046 yards, 28 touchdowns and eight interceptions, while adding 196 rushing yards and two more scores on the ground.
But away from football, Moore has also built a strong profile through Name, Image and Likeness (NIL) deals, partnering with major brands such as Nike, Beats by Dre, CVS and eBay, where he was joined by Georgia Bulldogs quarterback Gunner Stockton.
On Monday, Moore continued to expand his NIL profile, revealing new partnerships with the fast-food chain Raising Cane’s and Dr Pepper. The former UCLA Bruins quarterback announced the news in a post on Instagram, using a video of himself tossing the football around on the practice field.
“The College Football Playoff is on,” Moore said. “Preparation is everything. If I stay ready, I don’t need to get ready. Big thanks to Raising Cane’s and Dr. Pepper for fueling my journey. Let’s get it.”
“Let’s get it! @raisingcanes @drpepper #CaniacAmbassador,” Moore wrote on Instagram.
Moore and Oregon will face Texas Tech in the Orange Bowl on Thursday at noon ET at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami.
