Cincinnati Bengals linebacker Logan Wilson said goodbye to Cincinnati, the team and fans right after he joined the Dallas Cowboys this week.

That heartfelt, long goodbye letter, though?

It doesn’t seem to mention Bengals head coach Zac Taylor.

Wilson mentioned many teams around the Bengals organization in the letter:

“Lou Anarumo, Al Golden, James Bettcher, and Mike Hodge, you not only made me a better player, but a better man. To the strength staff, Joey Boese and Garrett Swanson, thank you for opening your office to me and always being a safe place in the chaos of life. To the athletic training staff, thanks for doing everything in your power to keep me healthy for game days. To the equipment staff, thank you for doing everything to get me ready for Sundays. Thank you to Eric Ball and Brickner for taking care of everything day-to-day to set us up to be the most successful. Thank you to the Brown family and every single person in the front office for taking a chance on me all those years ago, and for everything you’ve done day in and day out.”

The message in full:

Some might argue this is reading too much into things, but keep in mind that Wilson dropped a “Zac felt otherwise” in the locker room when asked about the benching and if he thought he was playing well:

Still, maybe it’s reading too much into things. Taylor and Wilson have been very much in lockstep over the years, whether it was the coach defending him from accusations of being dirty to the linebacker citing his coach as a reason fro signing an extension in Cincinnati.

Regardless, the lack of a Zac Taylor mention from Wilson was never going to go unnoticed by onlookers.
