Florida freshman running back Chad Gasper Jr. will enter the transfer portal, according to a report from CBS Sports’ Matt Zenitz.

A consensus three-star recruit out of high school, Gasper joined the Gators as a member of the 2025 class. He committed in May 2024 and stuck through a tumultuous recruiting cycle while recovering from an injury that sidelined him most of his senior year.

Florida also signed Byron Louis and Duke Clark in the same cycle. The latter received playing time as a true freshman. Gasper’s transfer makes sense with both players ahead of him on the depth chart and Jadan Baugh and Treyaun Webb possibly returning, although neither has announced their intent to stay to this point.

Gasper did not see the field for Florida this season and has four years of eligibility remaining.
