2027 Virginia offensive tackle names Tennessee football in top schools

Tennessee is recruiting toward its 2027 football signing class.
Four-star Carter Jones named Tennessee in his top 10 schools, along with Alabama, Clemson, Florida, Georgia, Ohio State, Penn State, Texas, Virginia and Virginia Tech, according to Brian Dohn of 247Sports.
The 6-foot-5, 291-pound prospect is from Poquoson High School in Poquoson, Virginia. 247Sports ranks him as the No. 24 offensive tackle in the class and No. 3 player in Virginia.
Tennessee offered Jones a scholarship on June 8, 2025 while he was attending a camp. He has unofficially visited Tennessee three times, most recently for the Vols’ football game versus New Mexico State on Nov. 15, 2025.
Old Dominion was the first team to offer Jones a scholarship on June 2, 2024. Other Power Four schools to offer him scholarships include Syracuse, Wake Forest, Duke, North Carolina State, West Virginia, North Carolina, Auburn, Kentucky, Mississippi State, Maryland, Rutgers, Indiana, South Carolina, Wisconsin, Florida State, Oklahoma, LSU, Stanford, Nebraska and Boston College.
Tennessee has four commitments in its 2027 football recruiting class: linebacker JP Peace, cornerback Kamauri Whitfield, offensive tackle Princeton Uwaifo and defensive lineman Kadin Fife.
