This Friday has been one of the most active days in the transfer portal I can remember in this new era, and as expected, Michigan State football is as active as any program in the country as Pat Fitzgerald looks to do a quick rebuild of his new team. One of the big names that will be coming in for a visit this weekend is Louisiana Tech safety Michael Richard, who the Spartans offered this week and already have coming in for a visit.
Richard was the former CUSA Freshman of the Year in 2023, All C-USA Second Team in 2024, and had three interceptions this past season, including a big one on LSU quarterback Garrett Nussmeier.
Richard is ranked as a 3-star transfer by 247Sports and their No. 64 ranked safety in the portal.
