Michigan State football has added a massive visitor to the ledger for the upcoming weekend. After losing more than 40 players to the transfer portal and graduation, it is imperative that the new coaching staff uses this window to rebuild the roster.

The major visitor that has been added the list is former Auburn linebacker Caleb Wheatland, who will start his visit to Michigan State on Jan. 3.

During his one year at Auburn, he only played in three games, recording one tackle. It is a weird phenomenon that his year at Auburn went so poorly, because in his previous three seasons as a linebacker at Maryland, Wheatland accumulated 100 tackles, 14.5 tackles for loss and 7.5 sacks. Michigan State will hope he can return to the form he had with the Terrapins.

Wheatland is a 6-foot-1, 230 pounder from Chantilly, Virginia. He will have one more year of eligibility remaining.
