AUBURN — Oregon State quarterback transfer Tristan Ti’a has signed with Auburn football, a source tells the Montgomery Advertiser, becoming the 22nd addition to the Tigers’ transfer class.

A rising redshirt freshman, Ti’a’s expected to have four seasons of eligibility remaining.

A former four-star prospect, Ti’a spent one season in Corvallis before entering the portal this offseason. He saw time in three games for the Beavers last fall, including a starting in the season finale against Washington State. He completed 69.8% of his passes for 385 yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions.

Still a player in development, Ti’a walked away from a trip to the Plains late last week impressed with head coach Alex Golesh, offensive coordinator Joel Gordon and the offense they orchestrated the past three years at South Florida.

“It was very exciting,” Ti’a said. “Like, I learned some stuff I didn’t know before I was here, just seeing how successful they’ve been, I believe it. I can tell why, just being on this visit, and how they operate and the stuff they do over here.”
