Last week, I picked both of the College Football Playoff semifinals matchups. With the games now in the books, it is now time to revisit my predictions.
How did my picks fare? Let’s take a look and see:
Fiesta Bowl pick
“Ole Miss taking down Georgia without Lane Kiffin was an incredible story. But ultimately, an SEC team like the Rebels is not physical enough to compete with the Hurricanes of the big, bad ACC. Miami wins it.”
Fiesta Bowl result
It came down to the final play, but ultimately, Miami prevailed. As a result, we have an SEC-less national championship game for the third year in a row.
Record: 1-0
Peach Bowl pick
“Oregon is really good, but Indiana simply looks like the best team in the country right now. I cannot pick against them.”
Peach Bowl result
Forget the best team in the country right now. Indiana looks like an all-time great team. The Hoosiers absolutely demolished the hapless Ducks, much to the delight of USC fans.
Overall Record: 2-0
Overall performance
Sure, there were only two games. But a perfect record is a perfect record, so I will take it.
National championship game matchup
It will be Indiana against Miami for the national championship. If you had told that to someone back in August, they would have thought you were crazy.
