Alabama football’s College Football Playoff path looks much different than it did a week ago.

Alabama was a lock for a first-round bye as a favorite to win the SEC despite its Week 1 loss to Florida State.

After a 23-21 home loss to Oklahoma, the Crimson Tide’s first loss in Tuscaloosa since 2023, Alabama now seems to teeter the line between hosting and traveling for the first round of the CFP, and without much room for error heading into the final two games of the regular season and, potentially, the SEC championship.

In the third week of the CFP rankings, Alabama is at No. 10.

Alabama is ranked at No. 10 in both of the latest Coaches and Associated Press polls.

No. 10 Alabama will host Eastern Illinois at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 22 at Bryant-Denny Stadium before taking on Auburn at Jordan-Hare Stadium.
