Alabama A&M transfer OL TyQuez Richardson commits to Georgia

Nathan Ray Seebeck | USA TODAY Sports

Alabama A&M transfer OL TyQuez Richardson has committed to Georgia out of the NCAA transfer portal, per report. Richardson started all 12 games for the Alabama A&M Bulldogs in 2025.

The 6-foot-5, 330-pound offensive lineman also held an offer from Colorado coming out of high school. Now, the Atlanta native head back to the Peach State to play for Kirby Smart’s Bulldogs.

Richardson is the eighth player to commit to the Bulldogs out of the NCAA transfer portal. They’ve lost 14 to the portal so far this cycle. Georgia’s current portal class ranks 53rd nationally, according to On3’s 2026 College Football Team Transfer Portal Rankings.

He’ll now join a Georgia program that is coming off an SEC Championship and a trip to the Sugar Bowl as the No. 3 team in the College Football Playoff. While their season may not have ended in the way Georgia had hoped, it was another season where Kirby Smart’s program was at the forefront of college football. That doesn’t appear to be changing anytime soon, and now Richardson will be a part of that effort with his home state Bulldogs in 2026.
