Alabama duo named to 2026 USA TODAY Sports preseason All-America team

A pair of Alabama Crimson Tide defensive backs have been named to the 2026 USA TODAY Sports preseason All-America college football team.

Bray Hubbard received first team honors as a safety, while Zabien Brown was named second team at cornerback. The duo were the lone Alabama players to receive preseason honors.

Hubbard is coming off a stellar 2025 season which saw the safety record 79 total tackles, as well as finish atop the SEC with four interceptions. The senior also had 4.5 TFL, two sacks, and three forced fumbles, as well as six pass defenses.

Brown is also coming off a career-year as a sophomore in which he had 39 tackles, 2.5 TFL, one forced fumble, and six pass defenses. The junior also had two interceptions, both of which he returned for a touchdown to lead college football.

Alabama is set to open the 2026 season Saturday, Sept. 5, at home against East Carolina.
